Herne Bay - the place that needs some blood

I was in Herne Bay in the morning today, a nice quiet day with some warm breeze from the sea. I know this place from knowing Margate and Ramsgate...although I was there first time. That's where my family comes from! (My grandmother was a Londoner and she moved there after marrying mt grandfather from Ireland - my mother and brothers and sister were all born and grew up there!). My grandfather helped build the pier, which is now sadly almost all gone.

Did you go to the fish and chip shop on the seafront opposite the car park? They certainly weren't £7 when I went last summer!

Hi, Herne Bay was lovely and I will go there again, the chips I had were round the corner, in a big cafe.
Do you ever go back to Herne Bay? Is your family still there? I would like to have some family living at the coast, I would be there most if they could stand me:)) I love the sea, I should live by the sea. How to do that?
In the meantime I have discovered Whitstable, we spent one night there and we were eating seafood all the time. It was the best seafood I have ever had.
We plan to do it more often, just get on the car and go to the seaside, it changes your perspective for the rest of the weak.
Greetings to the Herne Bay and seaside people!
Marta
