After watching the Legend of Korra trailer and seeing the statue of Aang, I really want there to be a statue of Zuko in the Fire Capital (preferably with Water Tribe Fire Lady by his side, but we know that's not going to happen).

Am I the only person with this strange desire? It struck me and my brain went EEEE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! STONE ZUKO!

Actually, my first, knee-jerk reaction was, "Aang? A giant statue of Aang? -_-#" Which I realise now is somewhat silly, given that he was the Avatar who ended the war even if it was in a total cop-out way and all.

But now that you mention it, A GIANT STATUE OF ZUKO WOULD BE AWESOME.

I wasn't sure what it was at first glance, and then the closeup came, and my brain was all "Oh, it's Aang!. . .where's the Zuko statue?"

We should demand a Zuko statue. This would make the series, fo' sho.

I wasn't either, and it took me a couple passes to figure it out. I was like...giant statue...WTF. When I realised it was Aang...well. It really isn't fair to dislike him, but honestly? Don't care.

I totally was all, "Oh it's a giant statue, that's kinda....WTF!!! WHY IS IT ONLY AANG???? WHERE'S THE ZUKO STATUE?!?!?!?!?!? *RAGE*"

I mean seriously if the town was founded by both of them there should be a MOFO statue of Zuko there to go along with Aang's.

*for that matter though where the frak are Toph and Katara and Sokka and Suki and The Lotus Old Dudes of Awesome's statues?*

This is my theory on why there is no Zuko statue:

Zuko is made of awesome and delicious, on this we all agree. If there was a Zuko statue, everyone would visit the Zuko statue, and people would begin referring to Republic City as That City With The Awesome Statue Of Fire Lord Zuko, or Zuko City for short, and people would quickly forget about the Avatar With The Cop Out Lion Turtle Excuse. Some people might also mistakenly think it's called Zuko City because he conquered it. And in a way, he did. He conquered it with his Awesome Statue(tm).

So that's why there's no statue of Zuko in Republic City. And am I the only one who doesn't think that statue looks much like Aang?

I didn't think it looked much like Aang either, but maybe it's supposed to be him when he's a bit older?
