Hey guys, I've recently been wanting to read fics with Zutara as the main pairing, but with a good side of Zuko/Toph friendship. Because who doesn't love Toph? XD Does anyone have any recs? Zuko-centric fics with some Zuko/Toph friendship would be great too ( Read more... )

Zuko-centric fics with some Zuko/Toph friendship would be great too.
You might like Embers, then! Starts out kind of slow, but definitely picks up the pace by the time Zuko and Iroh get to Ba Sing Se. There are plenty of Zuko+Toph and Toph+Iroh friendship moments! :)

A warning, though: Katara's not portrayed very favorably at first, but as the chapters go on we learn that it's because of culture differences, not because Katara's a bad person.

Embers is definitely a good way to spend a month of vacation (the fic is just under 400,000 words and not NEARLY finished).

BE WARNED: this fic seems to hit people one way or the other, for various reasons. Some love it, some really don't. Personally, I like it.

Like a_mae_sing implies, it isn't Zutara, but so far it has been refreshingly ship neutral. The Zuko-Toph friendship is wicked fun and starts about half way through. Even if you get bored or frustrated, I would suggest holding on until you get to those parts.

Matter of Honour has quite a bit of Toph/Zuko interaction, though there's an equal amount of Taang and Zutara, it's a fantastic and hilarious read nonetheless and you should enjoy it )
