Taking over your graphics fandom, one picspam at a time.
Introduction
In the spirit of launching new activities for our awesome fandom to play with, The Great Zutara Picspam Project is simply a chance for you to satisfy your picspamming and Zutarian needs. Also, to basically fill this community with lots and lots of Zutarian goodness.
So.. what are we doing, exactly?
I will explain to you in THREE simple steps:
1. Look for Katara/Zuko screencaps/pictures/fanarts (avatarspirit.net, iroh.org, piandao.org, violentred.net are pretty good places to search for)
2. Create a PICSPAM out of 'em.
3. PROFIT Post it @ your LJ, then crosspost it to katara_zuko/ post it directly to katara_zuko
It can't be that simple.
Nope, it can't. You have to create your picspam based on a decided theme.
Our first theme is: Favorite Scenes.
So, you have to create a Katara/Zuko picspam focusing on your favorite scenes of them. It can be any scenes- as long as they have Zuko AND Katara in it. But No INDIVIDUAL SCENES (As in, scenes with only Katara or only Zuko in it)- this is a Zutara Picspam Project, so there has to be both Zuko and Katara in your picspam.
Also, you can interpret the this as whatever you wish. You can create a picspam of one Zutara scene you love the most, or you can just post a list of 'Top 10 Zutara moments', so you can have more than one scene in your picspam.
No Time Limit?
Yes, there is a time limit. This project is a monthly activity, therefore it will be taking place at an entire month.
You can post your picspam from Monday, June 29th until Friday, July 31th, 2009. The latter date is our deadline.
So, can I just post one screencap as my picspam and be done with it?
Nuh-uh. We have something we call a PICSPAM RATIO.
Picspam Ratio:
- If your picspam focuses on ONE SCENE only, you have to at least have a minimum count of TEN screencaps in your picspam. EXAMPLE HERE.
- If your picspam focuses on MORE THAN ONE SCENE, you have to at least have a minimum count of FOUR screencaps per ONE scene in your picspam. EXAMPLE HERE.
Can I create more than one picspam?
Yes, you can. Highly encouraged, in fact. Make sure to follow our Picspam Ratio though.
I posted my picspam. Now what?
Wait for THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST. A comprehensive post listing all of your picspam entries will be posted in katara_zuko, complete with a personalized participation banner for each picspam. The more picspams you create, the more banners you'll receive!
Okay.. so what's the catch from doing this, really?
Personalized Banners according to each picspams. Also, like written above, a chance to take over the Avatar Picspam Fandom with One Zutara Picspam at a time.
