Hey Kathyrn!

I was at St. Mike's for othro surg and had a somewhat pleasant experience. It was mostly because of my clinical group and professor (Piera Cardella). If you ever have Piera, you've won the lottery. She's an excellent professor/nurse. She maybe a bit demanding and intimidating, but once you prove to her how well you can perform, you'll def. win her respect.

BTW, congrats on winning the President role in the Nursing Society! I'm positive you'll be an excellent one! ;D

Hi Julie!

So far, so good on ortho surg at st. mike's. i mean, the nurses are just marvelous. our teachers - umm, no comment. unfortunately, we weren't graced with the pleasure of having Piera, but i'll definitely keep her name in my mind (just in case, for future placement(s)).

but yes, thank you, thank you for the congrats! im nervous about holding the title, but so far so good :) its always good when you get a long with the faculty too!

but, i must CONGRATULATE you on finishing 4th year! you're gonna be such a great RN Julie... not to mention, a very pretty nurse too! i hope to be able to attend your graduation :)

Wow...I'm surprised to hear how "marvelous" the nurses are. When I was there, they weren't so great to us. I guess it has to do with the fact our group was the first group of students they've ever had. I'm happy to hear how much as changed.

I don't know if Piera still teaches for Humber, but I do hope you get the chance to be taken under her wing. She does teach at the Toronto General Hospital on the ENT unit in fourth year. She didn't teach me when I was there, but I know that is usually her placement.

And being nervous about your presidential role just goes to show how much you care.

And goodness...I'm still not buying into the fact I'm officially done school! It's so weird knowing I don't have to go back in September. Hahaha...

Hope to see you at grad! And if I don't recognize you, please, please come up and say "Hi". I'm horrible like that =X

The unit is very receptive to students, so i mean, all the better for everyone, right?!

I will keep that in mind about Piera. she sounds like a great teacher, and i mean, these days, its so hard to find a really good clinical teacher!

and don't you worry. when i see you at grad, i will go up to you, congratulate you. hug you. and probably take a picture with you! lol :)
