The sad thing is that apparently cheese balls do not exist in the northeast, or at least, people don't know what they are. I had no idea that a cheese ball was just a Southern thing.

That amazes me. We have cheese balls here in Missouri, and I grew up on them in the state of Nevada too.

Perhaps the hoity-toity northeasterners are too good to eat the lowly cheese ball?

There really isn't any more uppityness than anywhere else. I dunno, I guess cheese balls just never migrated up here.
