Board Game Day (and night)

Feb 07, 2010 02:12

Got there around 1 and left around 10. It was nice. Many, many people so I was jumping every time there was a sudden unexpected noise (which is a lot when you get 70 hard-core gamers most of whom are also dear friends in one space together playing). Entry-fee was $10 which includes two meals (pasta, salad, and bread-sticks for dinner and pizza and ( Read more... )

It was easier this time in part, I think, because it was much more organized and controlled. The lack of random milling around behind me by complete strangers totally helped :D

This was a much more positive overall experience than the last time and it'll make subsequent ones easier. We're thinking of doing another board game night on Friday and, farm-work allowing, may even attend a Con in March

it has been a weird winter. didn't snow once until after the new year and now we've been dumped a couple of times. on Thursday, our snowfall total was 10 inches less than our usual average for that day. now most of the region is way over its total. strange happenings...

Heeeee! These sound like fun! I love your game recaps, they always prompt me to google them, and then go, "huh! Looks like fun!"

BRRRRRRRRR. I can't imagine that much snow either. No thanks! And now I want some Honey Combs. I have been on a lucky charms kick lately. It's ridiculous.

Anywyas, glad you had fun! *hugs*

:) lots of fun and I'm getting a little less timid

I almost want to go for a hike in the Valley but it's so bitter cold out that I know my asthma would just kill me. Snow is beautiful but not remotely fun any more. or maybe I'm just getting old, lol

*hugs you*

That's always a good side effect! And I forgot to mention, good luck with the job search *smushes you*

And I could see it not being as much fun if you're used to it! It's just normal! :D

thanks :) *hugs you*

lots of unknown people in a very small (comparatively) space. this touches on a number of my phobias which I think is why my sister wants me doing it. it's the strangest, thing, though. i can totally handle strangers in a professional context but you put me in any other and i start getting twitchy *shrugs*
