Kind of that second one... But it's not even that. I've just never had a relationship in my life that didn't completely go off the rails once sex became part of the picture.

Will would need to be convinced that it had a decent possibility of being permanent and he'd need to firmly believe that Nikola had more-or-less given up on plans for World Domination (so, doable but would take work).

That second one's more complicated. He still feels guilty and he still doesn't trust Tesla which makes sticking close seem wise to him. Also, that "blood brother" thing he keeps mentioning? He's pretty thoroughly convinced it's true because he can't think of another reason why he'd be so drawn to Tesla. It hasn't occurred to him that he might just be gratified by the attention (although the evil part of me is holding out the hopes that there actually is a connection between them because that could be crazy-fun). He knows it's messed up to keep seeking out Tesla's company but he's powerless to stop.

The fact that I'm an idiot? Mostly just trying to keep up (Nikola's right; that was stupid to even consider) due to this insane combination of wanting to keep Magnus safe and having low self-worth. *helpless shrug*
