About a month ago, I bought something from Amazon (first time in years that I've done so) and I signed up for the free trial of Amazon Prime so I could get free three day shipping. Course I was supposed to remember to cancel Amazon Prime so they didn't debit $79 from my bank account after the free trial ended. WHICH I OBVIOUSLY FORGOT TO DO, FML ( Read more... )

Amazon Prime is good. Im sure the difference in gas will make up for it. Plus I heard they have streaming movies now! And nothing beats overnight shipping.

I managed to cancel mine the night before they would have charged my account, because as much as I would love to have it, I honestly cant afford it.

Yeah, I'm sure it will eventually pay for itself--I'm just lucky I actually had the money at the time. I always check my balance before I write checks to pay rent or bills, so thankfully I caught it before I wrote a check to the power company. My power bill will be a few ays late until I get paid again, but no biggie in the long run.

I liked Amazon Prime when I had it. Managed to cancel it before the free trial was up though. But my mom forgot to cancel hers.. she just called them up like 3 days later and said she forgot, and they refunded her money the next day. Something to keep in mind if it ever happens again!

I am pretty sure I'm going to be using Amazon more in the future just because I have disposable income now, lol. There was a time when I was using Amazon a lot, mostly for books, but I need some new appliances, most notablely a vacuum, since mine's kaput and I've had to sweep the carpet for the last four months. Which with three cats who shed a lot, a broom just doesn't cut it. I am afraid of how much cat hair I'm going to find when I can finally vacuum again.
