End of Year Fic Roundup Meme

Here are the posted fics/drabbles/random-meme-answers-that-turned-into-mini-ficlets from 2007, alphabetised by fandom.

2007 has clearly been The Year Of The Drabble (35 of them, holy crap!) - not many longer fics got finished and posted, mainly because this year RL has been particularly eventful and taxing. ( Read more... )

Can I mention that you only really seem to write porn about real people? Which seems sort of backwards and strange? I have more RPS guilt then incest porn guilt, for unknown reasons. And even that amount of guilt barely registers.

I also don't think I mentioned how much I liked Give Me Back The Berlin Wall . I love broken Dean, even when you don't fix him. He just breaks so pretty - goes all pale and the eyes just light up. Plus, Leonard Cohen is automatic win. I like to think Sam has at least a few songs on his laptop.

I still need to read Anywhere Road , 'cause Andy!, and everytime the cover graphic goes up, I smile about it being "home"

Can I mention that you only really seem to write porn about real people? - False accusation! *cry of outrage* Um... okay, you may have a point. But I have totally written porn about fictional characters, just not so much this year. Last year there was To Have And To Hold Down (Life on Mars) and if you are the rhyme and i the refrain (Robin Hood) which were both pretty graphic, the first one veering into BDSM heavily. This year I did write one Supernatural Dean/Sam PWP but it was for the connotations zine and they hold the copyright for a couple of more months I think. Once that expires I post it here.

I also don't think I mentioned how much I liked Give Me Back The Berlin Wall . - I'm pretty sure you did on your feedback, but if you feel like mentioning it again that's okay - I'm sure I'll bear the inconvenience somehow... Seriously, thank you so much! Broken!Dean is indeed very pretty...

Ooooh! You absolutely need to read Anywhere Road! DOOO EEEET! Both razorxrosary and I have fics up and there's more on WIP status. There's one more ready and I'm posting ( ... )

Okay, so you write porn about real people and BBC fandoms I have yet to wander into yet. BBC America keeps runnig adds for Life On Mars , and my wife just looks at me with this "Don't tell me you've heard things about this show too" expression.

I'm not sure I left feedback on Berlin Wall - I just read it a while ago, when I sat down and read a whole bunch of your fic, and was worried that if I left too much feedback I'd come across all stalkery.

Anywhere Road keeps staying in the middle of my "to read" list - I'm totally immersed in SGA McShepp novels of late. I want to wander out of the pairing, but the fic is so damn good, and I have such a thing for Sheppard.

Oh, oh, oh! Life on Mars! Soooooooo gooooooood! And not just because of the huge slash potential (which is, as said, HUGE) but it's genuinely one of the best, most intriguing tv dramas I've seen in ages. I recommend it whol-heartedly.

Hah, you're right, you never did leave feedback on Berlin Wall - I went and checked. I don't know, I... assumed you liked it? Um.

Duuuuuuude. Once I'm back on broadband I may like totally pimp you some McKay/Beckett and McKay/Zelenka recs. *nodnod*

I read all these! *pats self on back and looks proud*
I beta-ed a couple of them, too!!
Whilst I loved what you wrote for me, my favourite of 2007's crop is the summer storm/hay one. It resonated with my childhood experiences on a friend's farm and I could feel the straw scratching...
Sadly, the Berlin Wall one was perhaps my least favourite because I think I would need more knowledge of the show to appreciate it properly.
Just to remind you - you are brilliant with metaphors and similes.
Keep writing (original fic too - *pokes you hard*).

You did! Consider me very impressed and grateful!

It resonated with my childhood experiences on a friend's farm and I could feel the straw scratching... - reeeeeeeeally? *wiggles eyebrows*

the Berlin Wall one was perhaps my least favourite because I think I would need more knowledge of the show to appreciate it properly. - I agree. This story doesn't open up without quite a solid canon knowledge, a lot of things about it were pretty subtle so if you don't know what I'm referring to then it is mostly confusing.

And thank you! *blushes* But I'm afraid only original fic that will get written is what you'll manage to blackmail out of me for the GFF...

Young childhood.Very young. We used to slide down the straw bales then when somebody chased us we hid in the haystacks.
