I am tickled by the new Sheba cat food advert:

I just don't understand why the woman is getting dressed again. That is a man after my own heart right there, I'd tap that. The cat is welcome to watch. I'm used to that. :D ( Read more... )

Brilliant advert. I don't get why she's getting dressed again. Maybe she has an appointment or dislikes cats. The guy definitely has the right idea though - feed the cat. And how awful to see a man objectified.

Also the cat is definitely looking up at the woman and saying 'I won'

If she dislikes cats he should definitely reconsider his dating technique. Surely 'I have this gorgeous cat I adore, would you like to come and see him/her' should be the obvious pick-up line here? And then they could feed the cat together, give it a fuss, and then make out on the sofa. Priorities!

And lol, yeah I know. It is terrible to see such pornographic use of semi-clad male body to entice those predatory women to buy cat food. Whah, whah.

I'm always amused by how upset men seem to get about being objectified. Since men and women have existed, women have been objectified. They get a tiny taste of it and they whine like babies.

Idk how may of the comments are just trolls but if they are genuine then I am genuinely surprised by the sheer hypocricy. First of all, when women do get to their underwear in adverts they are rarely allowed to look like the bloke here: normal body shape, a little soft in the middle - I would actually like to see more of that in general.

Yep! Ordinary men are allowed to be naked and sexy, but you rarely see it with women. Lena Dunham does naked, but you hear complaints from men that she's NOT sexy. It's like seeing someone with a normal body is offensive to them.

*shakes head* Poor ickle bitty boy getting his feelings all hurt by someone objectifying a quite frankly *stunning* *SNORTS* looking bloke. Did they not realise it was a satire and a joke and bloody funny?! LOL!
