Just finished rewatching the LOTR trilogy and now I want eleventy million fics about the twu wuv of Sam and Frodo, and Merry and Pippin, and Aragorn and Legolas, and Aragorn and Boromis, and Legolas and Haldir, and... ugh, ugh, why is 80% of all LOTR fic either scary purple prose or the really wrong kind of wrong. Saying that I am kind of desperate

Any decent LoTR fic really, slash preferably. I'm easy on the pairings as long as it's well written (and Gandalf is not involved. or any orks). I dabbled in the fandom back in the day and upon returning, many of my usual rec lists are letting me down. Plus, I'm just lazy... *g*

You should definitely do a rewatch.

Heh, I dabbled a little bit into LoTRPS as well. Interestingly, it produced some of the best kink fic I've ever read.

it probably got me into kink too, now that I'm thinking about it (that's probably something Tolkien didn't intend lol). That's something worth thinking about :O Maybe it all started with Buffy/Angelus fanfiction hmmm

oh well, fanfiction is a very evil, evil, evil and wonderful thing. I was so innocent before I discovered that *sigh*

Yeah Buffy produced some excellent kink too. Interestingly with Buffy I went more for the femmeslash... Though I think my first Fandom was also my first kink introduction: X-Files. *g*
