Maybe it was that horrible cartoon his campaign drew up of taft and his cronies?

having a son in Iraq must have been stressful also. And a wife who guzzles wine by the bottle and calls it a glass is not a family you want to expose to the statewide race.

And I am almost positive that the GOP were hoping to get him so that they could lay into Frankie. And apparently JT has a past with matches and the family home that I was unaware of.

I'm unsure of how I feel about Mayor Coleman being anything more than mayor, but I'm pretty glad that this seems to smooth the path for Strickland. He's the one I was going to vote for in the primary, anyhow. Just hope that Fingerhut doesn't get the bright idea to go and run, like he's rumoured to be thinking. And WolfeTV was teasing "Governor Springer?" for last night's 11pm, but I didn't watch.

Oh yeah they would have loved the alcoholic wife angle, as long as Householder had nothing do to with the hate attacks.

Jt as an arsonist. Interesting.

Oh God, governor springer. Will they be throwing chairs around in the Ohio Senate?

Well, his wife had a highly publicized DUI here in town last month. I'm sure that they decided that would be a liability in the general campaign, if Mike got that far. Likewise, in his responding to a press question at the PC, he seemed to make a veiled allusion to her possibly heading into detox/rehab.

Ah, yeah, that would definitely be bad news for the ad campaign. That makes more sense.
