Mayor Mike is dropping out of the governor's race. In his statement, he has said that all polls show him having a clear path to victory, but for family reasons, and for "my city", he's pulling out of the race. having a son in Iraq must have been stressful also. And a wife who guzzles wine by the bottle and calls it a glass is not a family you want to expose to the statewide race.

I'm unsure of how I feel about Mayor Coleman being anything more than mayor, but I'm pretty glad that this seems to smooth the path for Strickland. He's the one I was going to vote for in the primary, anyhow. Just hope that Fingerhut doesn't get the bright idea to go and run, like he's rumoured to be thinking. And WolfeTV was teasing "Governor Springer?" for last night's 11pm, but I didn't watch.
