Congrats on accomplishing a ton in 2013! I hope 2014 is good to you and also brings maybe more time to rest... (I will continually wistfully wish this for you.)
I'm sorry to hear about your grandparents and, ugh, yeah, it's awful to see the worst side of greedy relatives after a death.
I'm still liking Elementary (though ACD canon is still my favorite), and I like the twist mostly because I 1) like what they did with the character and 2) like seeing what adaptations change and keep the same with regards to the canon. So it's interesting stuff in that aspect. Sherlock S3 is airing now! So I'm watching that too.
Btw, a day early but happy birthday! Let me know if you're ever out in DC! Or I'll see if I can't muster together a trip out to Chicago again. Who knows, with life?
Thank you hon, ten days late. LOL I'm currently preparing to go back to the office, fml. As is, work is killing me softly... or loudly. It alternates, really. And as I just replied to Mishy wrt funerals, it's not just the relatives. Neighbors and former work colleagues as well. Very distasteful.
re Elementary/Adler: I can see the cleverness behind the twist, but I guess a part of me will always be bitchfacing against doing away with Irene as her own autonomous character. Especially after the RJD films and BBC's take on making her a romantic interest. Like... why. Can't she just outwit Sherlock and then go on to have her own last laugh and live happily ever after without having to share the spotlight with the main-antagonist?
... yeah. I guess I just didn't really like this one adaption change.
Hahaha. Thanks Victoria. The new job has progressed to killing me softly, but I always tell myself the alternative would be to just not have a job orz. Positive thinking, wot.
Maaaaybe? If at some point I feel adventurous again, I'll pass along my list to you. XD
