Sad, but so beautiful!! Sniff!! A wonderful scene and I love Bill's list of things he wants to see. Simply lovely and heart stabby in one drabble. You need to adjust your ratings and include these things. Okay, I need some chocolate and a glass of wine. :) Great work!!

I can absolutely believe that Laura didn't want to die in sickbay and not just because of the lack of privacy and the grey functional nature of that place. She would want to spend her last hours in the place where, in spite of everything, she found the greatest happiness of her life and spend them with the person who had brought her that happiness. And Bill would want to oblige, even as he struggled to let her go, drinking in every last moment, clinging to all those memories of her.

The sense of how much Laura is loved at the end of her life comes through beautifully in this, through Bill, Cottle and Ishay. They all did their best with the limited resources they had and in spite of the many demands on them.
