St Croix should pay you for posting like that.  You make the place sound very inviting.

Huh. I thought I replied to you yesterday but it seems it didn't post.

I wrote that I've realised that the aches I have that weren't alleviated by warmth in PA are gone here, and that can have nothing to do with the weather. I think I've just learned not to worry so much. St. Croix is a very "manyana" culture. Deadlines mean nothing. Appointments are always fluid. Nothing can't wait for tomorrow. There's very little stress. If you let that flow over you, you'll find that a lot of aches and pains just disappear.

It takes time, indeed. Working from the outside in is the way to go.

I'll be here with you. I've been pretty slovenly in my habits and need to reset. There was a tin of butter cookies in the break room and it was very hard to walk away (first time in my life it didn't contain sewing equipment).

Ha ha! My Mum used to always get me with the Santa tin full of embroidery stuff. =)

I find that I go through these brief periods when I realise I don't like the foods that are bad for me (except chocolate ice cream). I eat them and they don't make me feel satisfied at all. When I realise this, I stop eating them for a while. I need to just extend those periods of time.

I have the same problem. It's like you keep eating and eating them because they don't satisfy. I also have a theory that is this why 2/3 of the US is so heavy--they consistently eat "bad food," it fails to satisfy, so they eat more.

I don't doubt that that is precisely true. We don't eat yummy things. We eat instead to overfill ourselves. It's a different variety of satiety.
