Not feeling so great this morning. The rain has finally moved on and it's left me with a headache from the pressure change. Unfortunately it's one of those headaches that moves, so Advil doesn't really help it

The rah-rah is nice when you need motivation. But I'm become quite sick of this crowd that never lets on that there are down times too. I mean, if you listen to them and think there are no down times and then you have one, what are you gonna think? That you did it wrong? That it wasn't "meant to be"? That you should quit? No! We all have down times and we work through them. But no one talks about it. Pisses me off.
I guess it's because I hear it used when referring to wanton failure, or a relationship well beyond it's sell-by with it's participants trying to make excuses for themselves.
And, you're right, when the economy goes to hell, even if you have the best business model in the world you're going to suffer.
Maybe it's just American Optimism, where everything's supposed to be sunshine and roses all the time. :P
Oh my god, so do I! I hate when someone says, "If it's meant to be, it will happen." Or "I was meant to be a [fill in the name of any profession]." By whom, I want to ask. Who meant you to be that? And why didn't you get any input?
American Optimism is going to destroy us if we don't admit there are gonna be bad times and we need to prepare for them.
