(See Chapter 6)

Maes dropped in again, the day after the new arrangements had been put into place, partly to see how all the parties had survived through the day and overnight, and partly to try to take the brunt of things if Roy was in a foul mood. Havoc and Breda had stayed inside the house during the night, spelling each other off in two-hour ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness... I'm wondering if Kimbley will be there... and Major Vanova knows an AWFUL lot. I'm suspicious.

Great job... you're cranking these out and they are GOOD!

OMG, just last night I was thinking, "Hey, Kimbley could probably make a bomb look like a fire..." -- you read my mind! (or maybe I read yours)

And I agree with havocmangawip that the Major seems to know a lot, but you might just be chucking a Bones with Hodgins and you think they suspiciously know a lot but, really, they're just trying to do their job =P

Can't wait for the next chapter! ^^

What can you do with bodies?! This is driving me *nuts*! There is some strange dicotomy between these fires *without* victims, and then the disappearing bodies. It's as if....it's like a symbolic massacre. I'm almost expecting the spiral of fires to end in a pile of bodies that then goes up in roiling black smoke....but....I suspect taboo'd alchemy will come into play at some point, and that does not bode well.

Gah. Now I'm quite glum, because I'm going to disappoint you. :-(

Oh, don't be silly! *I* don't have to work my random ideas into a story; I just spout them off. So if it turns out that it really is just medical students, and the only connection is that Maes has limited resources, then that's fine. The police *are* allowed to investigate other crimes in your story, after all ;).

"Major Vanova, a short, easygoing woman with clipped brown hair and glasses, studied the minds of criminals as well as their actions" (my emphasis). Huzzah, a profiler! Most of my favourite characters in various crime shows are the profilers. Not always, but y'know. I have an interest in why people act in certain ways, so I like the characters who can tell me that :3

This dude is too patient to be Zolf. Calm down Hughesy, it's okay! Zolf would do something like this just long enough to draw Mustang out, then he'd strike - that's if he didn't rush to Mustang to kill him to start off with. This person, while still a potential psychopath (I say potential because, although there is a threatened death at the end, no one appears to have been hurt yet, which could be because the guy doesn't want to draw extra attention before his piece de resistance, or he doesn't want to take more lives than neccesary, or it's just coincidence. A big 'un), anyway, while still a potential psychopath, has a lot more reserve than Kimbley. He's able to wait ( ... )
