I love this, and how James is blind to his own ability until it's pointed out to him.

Especially the wording Nikole uses “You have the gift of sight. Of seeing. Your abnormality James, is to see what we are all blind to.”

Haha. Good to know. I couldn't find anything about James discovering his abnormality (or having it pointed out to him) so I decided to write something of my own :P
