His default clothes is the left picture. However, he was pulled from a point that he was still wearing the clothes on the right [Rekord/Acid Tokyo]. A notable accessory that is associated with him is his goggles.

In the beginning of the series, one of Syaoran’s good traits is already detectable as early as the first few pages. He is shown to be hardworking and dedicated, most especially to something that he has set his heart into. Throughout his life, he has been studying archaeology under his adoptive father, Fujitaka. Syaoran had taken a high interest to this subject when he was still small and remained dedicated to it even as he grew older. When his father passed away, he decided to inherit his father’s will and continue with the excavations under royal observation. He became the excavation project leader, thus resulted him to become constantly busy since then.
In the latter chapters, it is revealed that he is immensely protective and thoughtful of people that he treasures. It is always reflected unto his actions, even if not necessarily his words. He gives little regard to himself as long as he is able to save and protect those he cares about. If hurt, Syaoran often hides his injuries as he does not want others to worry about him. Over all, he does have a strong sense of duty and confidence that hold him. This allows him the strength to be able to keep standing and able to do what he had decided to do, no matter what is thrown at him.
Personality wise, Syaoran is incredibly polite for someone his age. He uses honorifics or keigo speech in almost every conversation that he comes across with. Whether they are of higher rank, someone he respects, or if he just met them, he constantly remains with that polite demeanor and calmly expresses himself throughout situations. Even if someone is uncomfortable with him using these polite speeches, he still slips to using it time to time. Regardless of being capable of such impressive speech, he actually can be a bit shy and clumsy. But this only appears to happen to people that he is close with or gets along with. These slip ups would cause him to pause or stutter in his speech, though it is visible that he does have a brave heart underneath that soft face. That is one of the features which lead him to be easily liked or trusted by others.
Syaoran is also seen to be very attentive in general. He could tell the differences between small details and notice things that people usually do not. Aside from archaeology, it is shown in the Clow Country chapters in the beginning that Syaoran is good with cooking and gardening. He has a strange fascination for antiques or ruined items. It is also proven throughout his journey that his archeological knowledge is at the expert area. He puts lessons that he learned from the past and even picks up more throughout his journeys to his heart, applying it during the right times.

Syaoran was taught archaeological knowledge by his father and was put into well practice, so he is experienced in this field.
Syaoran is good with cooking, gardening, solving puzzles or riddles, and spotting details. He can also speak a number of foreign languages, but it was not canonically mentioned which languages he does know.
Syaoran learned martial arts from Seishirou, a vampire hunter. His skills focus primarily on kicking because of his right eye's disability to see. He is slow on his right side's reaction because of this.
Syaoran's fighting balance was later on was incredibly enhanced by Kurogane, who teaches him swordsmanship skills.

Syaoran is very friendly and kind-hearted. It's easy to get on his good side and hard to get on his bad side. He won't mind pats, hugs, or any form of light-hearted friendly gestures. He'll get embarassed if it's anything beyond friendly touches, however. You'll need to get closer to him first before he'll be comfortable with it.

Syaoran's sword is named "Hien," and it means "Scarlet Flame." He receives this during the Outo Country arc. It's actually inside a virtual reality, but due to the feather's power to be able to bring virtual reality to reality, even his Hien sword materialized.
In the Outo Country arc, Syaoran's in-game name (registered alias) was "Little Puppy."
In the Piffle World arc, Syaoran's dragonfly (airborne vehicle) that was registered in the Dragonfly Race was named "Mokona." This is because it had ears that reassembled Mokona's.
Syaoran crossdressed in the Shara Country & Shura Country arc. He was forced to put on a female dress and wear braided pigtails because the location he was staying in didn't allow men inside.
Syaoran's price to be able to access to other dimensions is his relationship with Sakura-hime. She will never remember him, even if she gains all of her memories back.
In reality, Syaoran is merely a clone and does not have a heart, he is only created for the purpose of collecting Sakura's feathers that contains memories. He is not aware of this fact. He gains a heart because of original!Syaoran (“Syaoran”), who ripped his left eye out and placed it unto Syaoran's right eye socket with a magic seal. If the eye is removed, the clone’s body will also disappear, as long as the seal is active. This way, “Syaoran’s” captor will not be able to completely manipulate the clone. “Syaoran” gambled that his clone might form his own heart after the seal disappears.
Because Syaoran’s right eye is not his, he is blind on his right eye. Instead, “Syaoran” is the one who sees through his right eye. Meanwhile, “Syaoran” is blind on his left eye.
Time to time, when “Syaoran” moves, Syaoran loses control of his own body. This is because of their connection through “Syaoran’s” eye on Syaoran’s body.
Syaoran is often associated with fire or flame symbols. In Hanshin Republic, a flame-property kudan (spirit) had chosen him as its master. This kudan is identical to the mashin Rayearth of CLAMP's Magic Knight Rayearth. Later in the series, “Syaoran” used a flame magic attack (Kashin Shourai) against Syaoran, but it had proven to be ineffective against him.
