Then I need to wipe from the earth those who directed that we move from SuSE backwards to AIX.

I spent, off and on, around 2 months testing everything individually. Then do the server migration yesterday and spend from 2 PM - 1 AM and again this morning until NOW getting it up to speed.

Things like:
SuSE cron:
RUBYLIB=/path/to/modules
* * * * * /path/to/script.rb

are replaced with
AIX cron:
* * * * * /path/to/shellScriptToExportRUBYLIB.sh /path/to/script.rb

Combined with the most braindead FTP deamon I've ever seen and a thousand other small headaches.

On the other hand, Menomena's Hustle N'Flo is a great song.

I've hated all the times I've played with commercial Unix. I guess I can see how people feel comforted, but even IBM's behind Linux these days.
