I love what you have done. Whatever the "almond" is, in my view it is a lovely tone. The beam is a nice accent. Compliments on cleaning the radiator. Those things are always so annoying to clean! I am grateful in our present house for the forced air heat.

Is the floor laminate or hardwood? It's hard to tell from the photo. Either way, it looks very nice.

Downstairs we have the more modern (rather flat) heatings, but those "ancient" onces....... (and it was a horror to get the wallpaper behind it + paint it too ^^;;;)
Though we had to get at least some colour behind the heating, as there was the dirt of 50 years too -.-;;;

The floor is laminate (style: maple). And for this room we chose the brand they are always using in the nice "we'll fix your house for you" shows on TV (e.g. family with disabled kids / or five kids + dad after an accident living now in three rooms though the house is BIG and dad simply can't finish the renovations etc.)
This brand was really nice to work with and we got the laminate on sale (10 €/m²) for another room we had already bought normal laminate for 8 €/m² and kept cursing and wishing that the sale had been earlier, because those 2 €/m² don't matter that much for a space of about 10 m². I'd GLADLY spent those 20 € more and the works would have been much easier.

We lived in a 1939 house which had those radiators, also our Paris apartment. They work well to heat a house, but they are the pits to maintain. Indeed, the new flat ones are far better. Nowadays in the US the norm is forced air heating, so one is spared the radiators.

I like maple a lot. Our new bedroom flooring is maple hardwood [replacing carpeting on plywood], but the random kind, so that there are dark planks as well. I think decent quality laminate like yours is great. A very practical flooring.
