but it worked quite well in my first try yesterday.
PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
I'm giggling at you, but in a nice way, and a little bit jealously because I would looooove to have curls, only I never, *ever* have the patience to do anything of this kind. Even though I own the Papilotten and a curling iron.
IF!!! it works tomorrow, I'll try to convince Carsten to take pics in the morning. They do tend to look less curly 10 hours later when we are both back home from work ^^;
Surprisingly, it doesn't take that long. I get around 6 usually and leave about 7:15 AM. Now, I might get up 10 min earlier and still leave at the same time. Get up, heat that thing, do stuff in the bathroom (maybe even a quick shower, in case I didn't do that in the evening), put the curlers in. Breakfast, slowly get dressed, check LJ etc, remove curlers when they have cooled down and leave :-)
I admire your effort. I agree with jo_lasalle: a picture is needed!
I have very fine unruly hair with a natural wave [not curls!]. I have tried in the past to improve it with a curling iron [burned myself, threw it away], cold and hot rollers [not enough patience]. I also tried straightening it with my hair dryer.
Nothing really works, so I have given up. I just crimp my hair a little with my fingers while I dry it, and hope for the best! I do comb and brush.
CURLING IRONS=LIFE!!! Everything gets a little bit better with nicely curled hair! :3333
I've never tried using hot rollers, but I've heard they're great! I love it that there are different sizes on the rolls - the effect gets better when the curls are uneven! I usually have to heat up both my curling irons and use them both at the same time but on different sections of hair!
