Pity it will not be on in October when I come...

Btw, I have heard from my Japan travel agency that you can go to Matsushima. The port at Sendai is still in bad shape, but the city and it's train station are ok, and Matsushima was only slightly damaged.

I had a really nice day the one time I was there and wanted to show Carsten the beautiful islands.
Maybe they get the chance to rebuild a bit more in the coming months. Though there is sooooooooooooo much for them to do all over the area *sigh*

I happen to be very fond of Matsushima. I will have to wait till next year to go back, though, because I am going in the opposite direction in October.

It will be the latter part of the month. Tokyo, then Kamaguchiko, then Izu Peninsula, then Kyoto.
