It sounds great and wonderful, but I can't help but think that this song advocates removing the wrong things: the things that are made problematic, but not the source of the problem. This leaves us with nothing to harm us, but also nothing to strive for (except, perhaps, expansion of territory into open space).
Too many fights have been fought for too many 'bad' reasons.
Religious, political, sociological, territorial, and even ethical fights are fought every day, simply because people have differing opinions. Doesn't even have to be two separate ideologies for there to be differences of opinion.
I take this song to be a protest against all the needless suffering caused in the name of ideology.
Instead of seeing what's different, why not see what's the same?
I know that it seems to be human nature to seek out what's different, then make that difference something to fight about, but that realization also makes me quite sad.
