It is. So far, I haven't missed one. As long as you're in school, you're taking part, anyway (up to 7th year, at least) and after that it's just tradition to attend.
It doesn't really matter where people are now, they'll all come back for the second weekend of July. :o)

I'll post some more about the history and various traditions etc. soon. I'll probably set up a web page for it, too.

wow! some good photos there, especially some of the fairground rides!! It all looks very german! :) I want to go in that church in your local town :)

It's not that exciting inside, typical neo-gothic style but I realise I should have taken some pics inside...

It's probably my favourite shot of the set, especially as it's just resized, otherwise it's straight as it came out of the camera. I'm slowly getting the hang of it, it seems. :o)
