On Saturday I took photos of Last July at an abandoned warehouse in London and I've been working on them this evening. I usually don't do a lot of extreme image processing, a bit of a crop, some exposure, contrast and colour adjustment, that's it. That works well - very atmospheric!

Something slightly odd has happened with the pale areas in the bottom left and bottom right corners. Were they brightened manually, or was there something very light there in the original shot that's no longer visible?

Thank you!
The opposite, in fact, there's hardly any light in the bottom corners of the original. I guess the difference is because the wall is textured while the bottom bit is more uniform.
I've only used the vignetting effect in Lightroom and that's how it comes out.

Ah, right, it's a one-click effect then? That would explain it. Probably works by fading an oval mask into a fixed background colour.

Not one-click, you can change the amount of vignetting and tweak a few things.
It's not supposed to be perfectly symmetrical and even as old style photographs weren't, either.

Hurrah, you managed to make a good photo happen out of that set by the window. :-) Thank-you for all your help on Saturday, it was great to have you there.

So glad you like it!
It was my pleasure! I have to thank you for the opportunity. Getting legal access to places like this is unusual.
