The Truman Show

With Truman, this is one of those pleasant expressions, that pretty soon turn shallow and annoyed, while at the same time one of the pillars that make up this building of straight lines and of never-changing a given course, an eternal catchphrase that ( Read more... )

I loved it! Now I want to know what the series are about and so. The quote too even though it's been YEARS since I watched the movie.

I really like The Truman Show. It was also the first time I saw Jim Carrey playing a serious dramatic role. God, he made me cry on a more regular basis after that. He is an astounding actor after all, not just for the comedy; he's one of those that can do 'fragile' so really well, and that is what always gets me.

The show (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426654/ ) is a weird and fabulous bit of... hmm... it's hard to say, it's really something that makes you think Oh fuck it all, life's a sickness, and the most ridiculous things are going to happen to you for better or worse, so yeah, just bring it on, whatever... It's only 7 episodes and as far as I can tell from looking at it from here... they're all on youtube...

God, this is extraordinarily beautiful. And also, thank you, because I am writing a Dan/Jones fic at the moment and this picture has given me all sorts of inspiration. It's just glorious.

Will you marry me? I know we live in different countries (and I'm already married), but let's not be small minded. This is the internet. Maybe I'll just work this into my small fandom bang story and then you'll already have some of your artwork done... Maybe it deserves it's own short story.

Marriage is a serious matter. I was engaged once. He even got me a ring, but when I had to move the relationship just sort of fell apart... I guess long distance things are simply nothing you can hold on to when you're 5...

I am pleased you like the picture enough to consider it though, lol. If youre still thinking about doing anything with this scene, then I'll be keeping my eyes wide open for it :))
