I'm surprised much, instead. I just had to do a modpost on the it-reversebang, two days ago, saying "Hello? Enough mixes, there's lack of arts, manips, videos, anything-but-mixes!" *facepalm*

Frankly, football slash doesn't exactly appear to be a visual fandom. ... Which in itself isn't true neither, because there seem to be a lot of drawings all over the internet. At least there are on Asian sites (which is problematic as I can't read anything none of the languages and don't know where exactly anything is from or where to find more.)

Take Harry Potter or Inception, Sherlock/Sherlock Holmes, just examples, there are or so many others. There is so much fanart there. Even if the Inception fanart is fairly limited to Arthur/Eames.

And people like music. It vexes me a bit though when people don't really give it much thought though, because all often it's the same songs all over, and that's just annoying.

I had a brief look at it, and I just don't get it. If I could choose between fanart or fanmix, I'd want a fanart, easily. Mixes don't really work as a "fandom thing" for me. I might listen to them if they're made by a friend, because I'm interested to know the songs that person find good and fitting, but I still don't feel the same even for a good mix as I would for a good fic or a good piece of art.

The idea of the community seems so good, but WHY not include art? I don't get it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same.
I mean I do like fanmixes and I agree that it's lovely to see the song choices and to listen to them (most of the times, although not always). I just think it's sad that it's fanmix only. I've participated in several big bangs so far and know of so many more, and I've NEVER seen a no-fanart bigbang anywhere :/

I know there are some really lovely fanarts floating around the internet, but as I said above it's mostly Asian, and I can't figure out these sites. I wish we'd get some of that fanart here :/

Why not start your own fanart footie comm then? Recruit people, promote, etc.
