That! That is what sucks big time! Random extension of deadlines. For no reason other than that there are little entries. And when is that extension being declared? A couple of hours before the deadline.

I entered an icon contest once and the person running it was like "we only have 5 entries so the deadline is extended 48 hours". I thought that was fair at first but then when the voting was posted, there were only 6 icons which kind of made me think they were holding out for a friend or someone they knew to enter :(

It bothers me, even more so when I hear things like this. And I don't think I want to be part of that anymore.

People overstepping simple rules that are there for everyone, it makes us think the worst, and so often that is only too true. Considering that there were actually quite some fics entered as I see now, I don't know what else one can think of it. She could have at least stated it's 7 fics so far, which I think are not so few at all, so everyone had known what to think of it... but yeah...

It is. I wouldn't have minded an hour extension, so anyone who's late for any reason can still get their story in, there's always the possibility that something comes between, but that!?

I don't like deadlines... I have enough of them in rl! On the other hand, they do make me work...
