And another football slash community that is fic-only.
Slowly but surely I loathe the idea that this fandom consists of places mainly that exclude my fanart. I feel excluded, personally.

Every other fandom respects and cherishes fanart as part of it. Football slash does not.

Sweetie, I'm wondering if they didn't MEAN to exclude, just never considered that people wanted to do art rather than fic.

Personally, I have as must artistic talent as footballing talent, so in as much as I never consider trying out for the national team, I don't think about art when it comes to slash. What I mean is that perhaps the exclusion isn't deliberate, just thoughtless?

And you are always welcome to respond to cp, key party, etc in art. I honestly think no one considered anyone would WANT to, not that we didn't WANT to have it.

Like anyone would turn down one of your amazing pieces :)

I haven't even seen the community you're talking about, but to me it sounds ridiculous to exclude fanart. I love looking at your art, and I would love it if there were more places that would inspire you to draw and post more.

I'm sorry this made you feel sad and excluded.

The community itself is a very nice idea to my mind. You should give it a look if you haven't yet.
It was just that after all the comms that do not (or not really) want fanart, this was another one and I've just had it with them, you know?

Yeah, I know there are far more writers than artists, but that should be all the more reason to cherish the artists we do have.

(I have a folder with art inspired by fics I wrote or that are part of a pic/fic collaboration, and I'm so damn proud of each and every one of them)

It might be that some feel uncomfortable with the in your face nature of manips or drawings that actually look like them, but if it's behind a cut, anyone can choose to take a look or not.
(and there's some really badly done manips? Well, not every single fic in this fandom is a literary masterpiece either)

See? That's what I mean there are others who make fanart, but hardly anyone gets the exposure they deserve. I'm really not talking about myself now - I used to feel over-looked, but I'm way over that notion by now, I get so many beautiful comments - I wish more people would post.

And, as to the fanart that is not perfect, as you mention, I think one can only learn. And I believe that one learns more when confronted with advice and support; even if you don't like to hear it, criticism still can push you and make you feel like you want to try harder, even if it may be through anger and indignation, lol.

that is silly. and...i thought footiefic did say it was ok....if it doesn't i'm off to change the profile right this instant because your work takes my breathe away and is welcome any time. (i checked, my rules are a tag vague. o.o fail, shall go and be more specific.) An oversighte on my part but one that hurts artists. I feel bad. I don't understand why anyone would exclude a form of ...anything creative to be honest. I wouldn't even know where to start to create what you do. I can imagine how it can feel...rejecting. Anyway, I'm sorry that you feel this way and I'm most deffinetly off to alter my comm's rules.

I'm more concerned than hurt by this, I guess. I think it's a pity... ocassionally, I've been directed to awesome images, via two people at times - that I had not seen before, and I have no idea who drew/made them, nor can I find them again, because they never posted to any community, and I wish that would not happen; I wish everybody else would have been able to see some of those pictures.

Ich finds schade, weil FF kann eigentlich jeder schreiben. Ich find gerade interessant, wenn Leute Grafiken machen {sowas sieht man ja auch nicht so oft}.

Ich bin einigermaßen froh, wenn ich mehr oder weniger kleine Storys hinbekomme. Ist ja für mich noch ne neue Welt. Meine Stärken liegen mehr im Grafischen.
Ich glaub bzw. schätze mich eher so ein, dass wenn ich jetzt mitmachen würde, ich recht schnell überfordert wäre. Wenn es ein bißchen besser klappt, dann könnte ich es mir irgendwann mal vorstellen :)

Aw, ja das verstehe ich sehr gut :)

Aber je mehr du schreibst umso besser wird es :) Kannst es ja auch für dich selbst versuchen, musst ja nicht gleich alles in irgendeine community stellen :)
