I’ve never been much for promises.  Probably from growing up in a devoutly fundamentalist household that staunchly drilled into me the concept of, “let your yes mean yes, and your no mean no.”  I haven’t held onto everything of that nature I was taught, but some of it has a way of digging in deep, and tends to stick

Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to all the best things in your life. Thank you saying that loving your spouse every day is a CHOICE, not a feeling. Yes, we feel love for them, but there are times when we may feel like throwing in the towel (at least I feel this way at times), but feelings are fickle! When times are rough in marriage we have to remember the vow we made and choose to love even when we feel like doing the opposite. Your child is so blessed to have you as his mama!
