ESCAPE

There was suddenly light shining down upon the group once more, and Milo knew that meant the cycle was about to start all over again. It didn’t always go the same way, but it always ended up the same... in destruction, devastation, and finally, darkness. There would be havoc, terror, carnage, and then... nothing ( Read more... )

Great story, I have never read a more descriptive way of how the digestive process works, I really enjoyed the descriptions of the characters as well and the line Is that what they mean when they say War is Hell? Perhaps after all, what they really mean, is that Hell is War.

Thanks! I was actually trying not to get too graphic with my descriptions there. And, as for the Hell and War thing, I considered the possibility, considering that this is effectively a sentient toy, that perhaps he actually was a genuine being at some point, but that being doomed to be trapped in this fate for all eternity is some kind of damnation. At least, he has considered that as a possibility, anyway. ;) Glad you enjoyed it!

This was tons of silly fun! Great little character sketches, although I think I could have done without the "Agent Orange" digestive description, lol!

Hehehe... Sorry about that... I tried not to be too overt with it... just told it from his perspective... at least little green army men can't smell! ;) Glad you enjoyed the fun in this... it was lots of fun to write!

I love how you blended humor with drama in this, finding the back story for these toys.

Thanks! Some of them didn't get much more than a description of their position, but those I could get a "read" on, I really enjoyed letting loose with... happy to know it works for you! ;)

Thanks! You know, I think I've had this story in mind since I was a kid... was nice to finally write it. Is this the sort of thing every kid playing with action figures thinks of, do you think, or am I just more twisted than most? ;)

This was delightful-- a good battle story overall, a glorious exploration of the individual soldiers and their weapons, the attack of Agent Orange engulfing Milo in the inexplicable way he can only fear.

FRANK? HANK? FREDDIE? TEDDY? ?????????: GUNMEN
Hahahaha! Probably my favorite part. :D

Thanks! It was as blast for me, too. I used to think things like this up when I was little, playing action figures with my brothers... it was great to finally get to bring them to life. The names of the gunmen was to show how expendable those particular figures in the set are... effectively, they should practically all be wearing red shirts! XD
