I finally meet a guy who's sweet and smart and funny and creative and passionate as hell and totally has a spine and a mind of his own and he's totally good at leading his own life and being his own person and looking after himself, but he's also happy to have a partner there to encounter life with. And it didn't hurt that he was fairly cute too

This is still better than finding a guy who looks good on paper but turns out to be a turd. I think. If the same rules that apply to men and women.

Mind you, I'm not saying it doesn't suck.

Maybe I'd be better off not having the damn dream. I mean, given that the closest I've gotten to romance anytime recently was being offered a pity-fuck by a married guy at DragonCon two years back.
