Our Baby Girl

I am 5 and a half years old.

I feel fine, except lately my nose keeps dripping red stuff. I don't know why, it's a bit annoying. Mommy first thought I might have inhaled a foxtail grass seed, but now she says "no".

I like to eat, play with my sister, snuggle with my family, play with my toys, make new friends, go for walks, collect "treasures", chew up pincushions (yes, I carefully remove the pins), play fetch with my family, eat fallen plums from the tree (I spit out the pits), howl at sirens, lie next to Mommy's feet when she is working, play, track shiny light flickers on the ceiling and reflections in skylights, chase flashlight beams, and look for dogs on the TV screen. I like dogs.

I made friends with a nice doctor today. She said: "Adenocarcinoma is an aggressive type of nasal cancer, with an average of two months to live without treatment". I don't know what that means.

Mommy says I am going to get a CT scan tomorrow so the doctors can figure out if they can do anything at all for my nose. I also don't know what that means, but it would be nice if my nose would stop dripping red stuff.

Because of this CT scan thing, I am not supposed to get a cookie before bedtime tonight. That makes me sad. Maybe I can have a cookie tomorrow?
