Obama's Seder

Apr 09, 2009 08:10

So, hosting a seder at the whitehouse has strengthened his ties with the Jewish community.  I bet he won't celebrate Ramadan.  Just sayin'.  Because if there is *any* group that needs to be reached out to right now, it's probably the muslims.  Of course, if he *did*, it would just fuel the rumors that he is actually a muslin.

the secular route is why I have to work this weekend. The library's been closed every christmas and easter for as long as anyone can remember. I don't MIND getting holidays off for religions I don't belong to. it's a DAY OFF. but this year, it came to the attention of the powers that be, that we were closed.... and they told us we were actually open.

I have to work, because she already told the students we were closed and they have other plans. I'm grumpy. Abhi's moving to MI this weekend, and I'm working.

After 8 years of idiocy, it's almost unbelievable to see actual, honest-to-goodness diplomacy again. It's almost like our nation is trying to be a part of the world community again.

Just so you know you called him a Muslin.. which I'm pretty sure is cloth and not a Muslim. ^-^

Nothing he does will make everyone happy but he's off to a damn fine start!
