I enjoy cutting my fingernails, just because it's something to do. I cut them maybe once a week, they never even have a chance to get long. :>

I think I avoid cutting mine because it's slightly intrusive; the tips of my fingers get tender when I cut them, which makes me not want to do other things like type a lot or play guitar.

ironically, not cutting my fingernails makes doing those things more difficult.
