Yuletide fandom nominations are open!

Because I am a late goober, I should also mention that they close at around 9:30pm EST tonight.  HOWEVER you can still sign up for the Yuletide exchange, whether or not you participate in the fandom nomination stage.  The signup form will go up as soon as possible after fandom noms close; keep an eye on yuletide and yuletide_adminRead more... )

Four is the minimum number of fandoms you need to offer. Signups just opened, so feel free to take a look at the fandom list and see what you think you could handle.

I usually come up with my list of stuff I'm willing to offer through by limiting myself to only those fandoms that meet three criteria: First, I have to have the source material on hand. Second, I will want the time and inclination to re-immerse myself in the fandom canon before I actually write the fic, which may eliminate certain really huge sources. Third, I must feel at least a little squee of excitement at the thought of writing in that fandom. Any fandom that doesn't meet all three of those standards gets culled.

YMMV for criteria, but I haven't had a dud Yuletide yet!

An addendum: Don't feel bad if you can only come up with four fandoms to offer. According to the mods, matching up writers and recipients goes most smoothly when people offer between four and twenty fandoms, so more is not always better in this case. X-D

On an ENTIRELY unrelated note, there's a David Bisal in a game I just joined and his hair reminded me of you.

Awwwww, the hyper froball! Which game, if you don't mind my asking?

PS, ping me whenever you get a chance. I'm moving, so I may be a little slow answering over the next few days, but I want to hear from you! <3

Having found myself in zero games, I decided to try the new game http://cityofmelbourne.insanejournal.com/ pretty psyched that it's set in Australia, however apparently nobody else is. Hope it takes off.

I will, I will. I'm hardly ever on AIM now, I'll try and jump on later.
