Sorry about disappearance but the weather is sunny - and cold as fuck - and we have to use it while it lasts to dig diiig diiiiiiggg! :D

In other news Tumblr always sucked except for spiffy fanart and I think DW is alright but was always rather deserted and elitist. I know NOTHING about everywhere else - I am so rarely online for not job-related things - except that nothing in the universe will ever make me use facebook (*HATES*)

How are you? Had a jolly end-of-year orgy? I did, on dig of all the places but it was really magnificent: sky clear as glass. gibbous moon and STARS! EVERYWHERE! Being in the middle of nowhere halfway up a mountain helped. :D

I ate far too many helpings of the local cuisine - restaurant owner came up with a minivan and fed us plenty - so today is fasting after orgy day.

Lol, I've been alright. I never liked celebrating g New year's, so I stayed in, lol. I'm boring and poor and have no RL social skills so I never know how to answer these things 😄 But it's been--at least by San Diego standards--absolutely freezing. I've been debating on whether to get my winter coat I bought in Korea out of storage despite probably getting maybe two weeks of use before it warms up enough for just my sweatshirt xD

I never much used DW before and only imported because of the Russian buyout here. But so far, it seems decent enough. t's been great to have moderated spaces again (both there and on Pillowfort) and to feel like I'm having good faith discussion instead of trying to avoid a screaming match about how shipping two grown adults is pedophilia (which is....a thing in too many fandoms. A very stupid thing).

I found you posting on Tumblr once when I was looking at Voltron once (I have no Tumblr account and don't really understand the website). I thought it was neat to recognize an old, familiar name there.

Hey, you're alive :3 lol, I went into Voltron for about 6 months in 2018. I regret that, and im sure I don't need to explain why hahaha. But the ending was so bad that I forgave Kubo for TYBW and gave Bleach a chance again and finished a fic I'd been working on since '08, so there's that

I was a fan of Voltron since its first season came out and enjoyed it until season 8. I have no idea what the writers were thinking with that ending--it seemed scientifically engineered to piss off everyone. Anyway, like I said, I don't really get Tumblr. I seldom use LiveJournal now, and all I miss from the site are the people I used to hang out with online.

I'm still surprised you like that fanfic so much. It definitely was not all that popular, but I'm glad you enjoy it.

As for Laurie Bunter, she's very tired these days since she gave birth to our firstborn daughter less than two weeks ago. She actually finished a novel and a novella but no luck with getting published yet.

I do miss LJ formatting. I never liked Tumblr, even though I lucked up to make some great pals in Yu-Gi-Oh and Bleach fandoms there (although not so much VLD. Fandom was like navigating a mine field even before S8). But yeah, I miss the intimacy of a curated friends list w/o unwanted outside comments and trust that even those who disagree are speaking in good faith.

If/when a good alternate comes around, I'll be sure to let you know. With the Bleach continuation, I'm sure fandom with re-thrive once again.
