So, I proof read my local theatre's newsletter. And I'm known to be rabid when it comes to the abuse of apostrophes.

So tonight Pete, our newsletter guru, sent me this along with the document for checking.

I got in trouble with some of my co-workers a couple of weeks ago over apostrophe abuse. They were gathering everyone together for the annual push for United Way donations, and while people were filing in they showed a series of photos of those who had donated last year, some of which had quotes at the bottom. One guy's picture had "God say's we should give back", which startled me into blurting out "No! There shouldn't be an apostrophe anywhere in that sentence". Apparently, since I toned it down after the initial "NO", that's all some people heard, because I got a couple of comments about how, even if I'm not religious myself I should respect other people's religions.
