No Courtroom Drama in Milton

Just finished at the courthouse...after waiting for a very long time they ushered the potential jurors into a larger courtroom and the judge gave us a deep bow--and told us that our services were no longer needed. That is the second-deepest bow I've ever received... The other was the one at the Japanese restaurant yesterday. Two in two days. Zwei!

Great photos.

Have you ever seen the Group of Seven gallery at the National Gallery in Ottawa? It was inspiring. They had a lot of the mini-canvases they painted when they were in the wildreness. They would bring these home and paint their larger canvases all winter long.

No, I don't think I've been to the National Gallery...or, if I have been there, it was a very long time ago. I have been to the Kleinberg gallery, however, and the AGO had SO many examples if their work--including many of Tom Thompson's smaller studies.

Another artist they had on display was the Winnipeg artist William Kurulek, whom my mother loved (she's from Transcona, now part of Winnipeg). C and I scoured his and Krieghiff's paintings, as they provided so much detail...
