Hi Folks;

Been a long time.  Just popping in briefly as I had to share this with folks around the world.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  And all too true!

What a great article.  Plus, check out both vids.  Enjoy!

Thank you so much! Yes, I'm okay. It's been an "interesting" winter/spring. Re; LJ, I've just been popping in briefly to see how folks are, then dashing off again. Can't wait to have a breather, so I can sit down and deliciously savor all of your new Spooks/Max/Julian chapters that I've saved. I hope all it going well with your book and the family!! Continued congrats and good luck!

Thank you! It really is down-to-earth lovely. And scary. And I am trying to really embrace this change in my life. And not bring anything into my new environment which I don't absolutely love. (Yes, I will be having a massive garage sale/ebay selling, shortly.) It helps a bit that this place really does resemble my old one (which was built in 1947...the house is 1948), which I loved (I LOVE hardwood floors) and I really have only gained 1 1/2 rooms, as this kitchen is smaller. ;-) Along with a big back yard. And a seriously loving, positive-vibing 50-year-old apricot tree, who has extended branches of protection over the backyard. Very cool ( ... )

As usual, it took me forever to reply - but not for lack of wanting to! I am still involved enough in the political fic (and beta-ing a couple of very good ones) to keep my fingers on the keyboard - and this week, after spending a good deal of last week in my own company, I have found myself going out pretty much every evening ( ... )

(ran into the character limit ;) )

And congratulations on the house again! I think I am too chicken to ever consider living in a *house* on my own - I see, perhaps mistakenly, greater safety in apartment buildings, but your description sounds lovely and the tree sounds really magnificent. And I could not agree more on the litmus test of feeling safe coming to a place late at night; I’ve used it for every place I’ve ever rented. (I doubt I’ll ever own, sadly, and right now I pay two thirds of disposable income in rent - but at least it is very central and relatively big, at about 650-700 sq ft. BTW if you ever feel like coming to Rome, keep it in mind :) ). And you are doing the right thing with a garage sale! As a greedy critter who lugs tons of personal effects around, I honestly envy more decisive and rationally minded people who don’t!
