wow..that sounds like quite the adventure!!! i am sure you do NOT want to repeat ever!!! we had a bat in our attic once when i was a kid...it was freaky but i was too young to remember much...let's hope your little friend does not return any time soon...

oh..and lol at the cool cat...she knew her brave mama would take care of it all!!
