Step, step, step. He could hear them in the stairs, walking up to the tower. The old doors creaking when opened, the rusty sound of locks being opened. The nameless one sat up on his bed, eyes narrowing a bit. Was it the little secret one who was returning with her banages and her drugs? It couldn't be - he doubted it. He was 'fixed' now - or at least marginally so, arm still tightly wrapped and stopping his movements slightly. But it was not hurting as badly any more and he could actually feel his fingers now, unlke before.

When the key was put in the lock of his cell, he tensed, fingers of the unhurt arm curling against the sheets, smirk forming in his pale face.

But he had not expected it to be him. No. Never.
NOT YET. Not now.

The self-proclaimed king of the tower stared at the orange-haired boy, eyes widened and face twisted in a wordless snarl.
The horse!

...or was it?

No worries! Its the thought that counts? kon_ditional June 14 2007, 00:39:13 UTC
Kon's heart was thumping to the oddly patterned beat of don't kill me, don't kill me, dontkillmedontkillmePLEASE DON'T KILL ME. He kept his back against the door, reluctant to move from his only way out. Ten seconds that's all it would take, to turn, slam open the door, and run like a bat outta hell ( ... )

Ten seconds was not even nearly enough time to escape for Kon. Ten seconds was quite enough time to do all kinds of horrible things - at least in the cell’s owner’s mind.
The nameless one did calm down slightly, however, when he noticed that it was not the real horse. It was the fake one.
…which really didn’t make it much better, but still.
Hearing Kon’s half-panicked words, he just smirked and snapped his yellow gaze into the mirror-like image’s eyes, baring his teeth in a low snarl.

"Leave? Leave? Tsk, tsk, fake horse. If you even dare to think of leaving now, I will gut you with my teeth as soon as you turn. I would sit down and keep me company if I was you.
That is why you came, was it not?"

He said coldly, putting strong emphasis on the fact that this was all Kon’s idea. It wasn’t as if he could escape and play with people, right? Such a silly, lonely fake horse, trapped in the spider net now ( ... )

There was a snake-like quality to the white one's eyes, making it hard for the orange haired teen to look away. Kon had never seen someone who looked so much like him. Yet the personality behind the face distorted the familiar-looking features into a completely different mask. 'Well now I know what I'd look like if I was batshit crazy.' It wasn't a comforting thought.

"Good thing I'm not thinking about turning around then," Kon let out a shaky laugh that matched his shaky legs. But the psycho was slightly right (he didn't really get the fake horse reference, maybe he should read more?), Kon had come for some 'company' no matter how questionable it was. He wondered what that said about his own sanity ( ... )
