MOD POST: Meet your new mods, & some small changes

Hey, folks! My name is Liz, aka senatorsfan_ink, and as you probably know by now, myself and my good friend fire_sister will be taking over the comm as of this week from starpollo and geekluvinskater. They both did a really awesome job with this community, and we hope that we can live up to their standards and continue to keep this community going as you've all come to expect.

Thank you guys so much for keeping this going. I've really enjoyed this community. I'm still pretty new at this icon making business and this has been a great learning experience. I'm looking forward future challenges!!

No problem at all - believe me, it's our pleasure! I think starpollo and geekluvinskater did an amazing job, but I was so excited when I found out this comm needed new mods. I love Kara, and I've already got a list of what I think/hope are good themes to use here. So I too am looking forward to modding here, and I hope you and the other members continue to enjoy karastillness!

I LOVE theme challenges!! My favorites are song lyric challenges. As an icon-maker, sometimes it's hard to find a good jumping point, especially when AMAZING caps are made available.

Can't wait to get to know you guys better!

Thank you! We are most definitely going to keep the theme challenges going - we'll probably alternate them with screencap-based ones as was done before. It's a good system, so I don't really want to mess with it too much. ;) Both fire_sister and I are so excited about taking over this comm, hehe. The previous mods did a great job, and we're hoping to continue that! :)
