That is a gorgeous shawl! I am sorry she doesn't like it. That's a hard decision though.

...it's your shawl! Make it how you best like it, and be satisfied that you look the way you want to look. My mom and I have some really contrasting ideas about clothes, and makeup, but we usually just ended up wearing what we want to wear, even if the other doesn't like it.

I think it's lovely! Everyone has different tastes. As long as you love it and want to wear it then who cares? It's not abnormal for different generations to have different tastes either.

so, while i like both shawls, I think we both fell in love with that first shawl the first time we saw it ages ago. So what if it's also table-cloth like!? fuckit! You can use it as both, should you choose *nod*

I do like that second shawl, and would be tempted to make it for a formal occasion/to aid in dressing up, but I feel the other will be warmer and more utilitarian. not to mention gorgeous.

I think both are gorgeous! They're both good for different purposes; one for staying warm and cozily wrapped up while still stylish, the other cause it's just so pretty.

...how much would you charge to make the second one? >.>
