And she would rather you take it and use it for something else instead of just not using it at all

Definitely much better to give it new life than to have it be worthless now. :) Both were used for the intended affect - and got their full life. Now its time to reincarnate them. :)

I agree. Better to use them for something new than let them gather dust and take up space.
