*MASTERPOST* Jun had just settled down in what had started to be his favorite chair in the living room when Goto gathered everyone in front of the nurses' station. Sighing he got up and stood somewhere in the back, trying to ignore Ninomiya who winked and waved, trying to get him to get over to the smaller man. When everyone was gathered the head of the nurses cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
"As you all know today is my birthday and since it has been a while since our last bigger incident..." Goto looked at Ninomiya who smiled innocently. Jun figured the head of the nurses was talking about the day the blond man had tried to steal some of Aiba's food which almost made Sho lose it a couple of weeks ago.
"I decided we will celebrate my birthday outside the clinic and get everyone some ice-cream. It's the perfect weather for it." A few men cheered, getting excited by the idea of such a rare treat. Jun couldn't help to smile as well, thinking it was nice to get outside again for a change. Goto gave a few instructions after which everyone went their own way to get ready to go outside. As soon as they did Kazunari skipped over to Matsumoto, smirking as he followed the taller man to his bedroom.
"Sweetie pie, want to share an ice-cream? That would be so romantic."
"And end up having nothing because you eat them both? No thank you." Kazunari laughed and turned his attention to the other man in the room.
"Prince, you would want to share an ice-cream with me right?" A small smile formed on Ohno's lips as he shook his head. Faking total defeat the blond man sat down on the floor next to Jun's bed, hiding his face in his pulled up legs.
"Nobody likes me. And I take such good care of you."
"Why don't you just ask Goto if you can have two flavors if you want it so badly?" Nino looked at him like he was the one that was insane.
"It's no fun having two flavors if it isn't shared with someone else. You really are an idiot J." The smaller man rolled his eyes and got up again, leaving the room with his head held up high. Smiling Jun put on his shoes and grabbed his jacket. At the other end of the room he saw Ohno do the same but when the smaller man was ready he frowned and grabbed his sketchbook. Chewing on the end of his pencil he looked at Jun but the younger man wondered if he even saw him. Then he started to scribble something down and tore the paper out of the notebook, slipping it in his pocket before standing up and looking expectantly at Jun. The taller man nodded and got up, following Ohno towards the place where most of the others had gathered already. Ohno had opened up to him a little, sometimes saying short things to him, but mostly they just understood each other without any words. The older man seemed more comfortable with it and Jun actually liked the silence around him, making him feel strangely at ease.
Of course it only lasted for a short time, especially with Ninomiya always around. Before they went outside Matsumoto saw that the head of the nurses took Ninomiya aside and with a stern face he gave the small man some instructions. But everything seemed to go smoothly once they were outside and entered a small cafe after a short walk. One by one the patients were called to Goto who took their order and made sure they got their ice-cream. When Ohno was up Jun understood what the man had been doing before they left as he handed the nurse the small paper out of his pocked. He and Kazunari, who had got his ice-cream before Ohno, waited for the others of Nino's small gang to get their own ice-cream. When Akira asked Aiba what he would like the tallest man seemed very uncomfortable, looking around with big eyes.
"Just a glass of water please." Aiba mumbled softly, avoiding Sakurai's gaze carefully. Unexpectedly the former Yankee didn't say or do anything, apparently not wanting to force the anorectic man outside their safe ward. Instead he just asked for a plain ice-cream, grabbing Aiba's hand once he got it and leading him to one of the small tables.
"Jun, what do you want?" Goto asked, smiling kindly at Matsumoto.
"Strawberries please." He answered shortly, hearing Nino laugh shortly behind him.
"Suits you, sweetie pie. Sweet but sour at the same time and very, very sensual." The shorter man licked his ice-cream very suggestively. Jun ignored him and took the offered ice-cream, following Nino towards the table Sho and Masaki were seated. Ohno followed them closely behind, his eyes slightly sparkling as he looked at the treat in his hands.
"Just one bite?" Sho asked softly to the man next to him, apparently not giving up that easily to make Masaki at least eat something. But the taller man shook his head, his hands tightening around the glass in front of him.
"Maybe chocolate flavor?" Nino offered with a wide grin, pushing his ice-cream under the anorectic's nose which made him lean back so quick he almost fell backwards with his chair. Sho gave the smaller man a warning look which made Jun who sat next to Nino shiver. Ohno observed them with mild interest before concentrating on his own ice-cream again.
"I'm fine." Aiba whispered softly to no one in particular. After Sho gave the others at the table a last warning look, they stopped focusing on Aiba. Instead they all enjoyed their different flavored ice-creams and Jun found himself not caring about anything at that moment. But his peace was short lived as the door opened and a man stepped inside who Jun immediately recognized. His manager.
"Shit..." He whispered, making himself smaller in his seat. Nino looked at him and followed his gaze, smirking when he spotted the man Jun was looking at.
"A friend of you?" He didn't even try to keep his voice down, getting the attention of the other three at their table on the youngest man. Jun sighed and shook his head, trying to make himself even more invisible. He could see Nino look thoughtfully at him and prayed the man wouldn't come up with something that would get the attention of his manager on him. Unfortunately his manager already noticed him without someone's help.
"Jun! What a surprise to see you here." Jun sighed and sat up, faking a smile.
"I could say the same, I wouldn't expect to see you in such a place." His manager looked a bit uncomfortable, looking at the others at Jun's table.
"I was close and felt like... Ice-cream. Can we talk in private?" The man asked, scratching his head like he always did when he was uncomfortable. Jun looked at the others at his table and shrugged.
"Sure." He tried to get up but Kazunari stopped him.
"Where are you going sweetie pie? You won't betray me with this man right? I'm not sure if my heart could take it." The look on his manager's face changed from uncomfortable to disgust.
"Really Jun? Even here you can't keep yourself together? You really must be completely insane and incurable if they can't even help you with your disgusting problems here." The man hissed angrily, making Jun's blood boil. But before he could even think of saying something back, Kazunari already started to talk.
"Look, I don't know what your problem is, but if you think his problem is disgusting you should get yourself checked. The only thing insane about J is, is his mouth that is insanely heavily. Maybe that is your problem? That everyone around you could have Jun but you never got your chance with him?" Jun's manager looked at the small blond man with his mouth wide open in surprise.
"And who are you anyway, accusing him like this out of nowhere? Some kind of lost stray dog that wants to follow him around, hoping for a moment of fame?" Out of nowhere Ohno started to bark, making all the heads in the small cafe turn to their table. The barks mixed with Nino's high laughter, making the sound of some kind of horror house complete when even Sho's low, breathy laugh joined. If Jun wouldn't have been so extremely shocked by these reactions he probably would have laughed as well, realizing how insane their group must look at this moment.
"I am, or maybe I could better say was, his manager. Our company can't use someone like him." The man particularly spit the words in Jun's face, making his blood boil over by now.
"That was not what your director was thinking when he gladly used every opportunity to bury his cock in my ass! Don't you dare to tell me it's only my fault, the others are just as guilty as me!"
"The others aren't sleeping around like you were doing! And you know just as well as me that was not the only problem with you. You abused alcohol, sometimes even appearing drunk on a set or an interview. For God's sake, you even tried to kill yourself! You are immoral, living by your own rules and don't care about anyone around you!" Jun and Ninomiya jumped up at the same time, ready to punch the man but Goto chose that moment to come in between.
"Enough you two! We promised not to make any trouble remember? Do you want to spoil it for everyone else?" The head of the ward looked at Nino and Jun only, for now ignoring the man that was causing the uproar. Jun grumbled something and sat down again but the blond man stayed on his feet.
"We are not making trouble, this bastard here is causing trouble. Accusing Jun out of nowhere, particularly saying he is fired. You can't just throw that at people while they are just trying to enjoy their ice-cream! How come we are the insane ones while everyone else is even more fucked up?!"
"Enough! Sit down." Goto said, looking at Nino who simply looked back without moving.
"Not until he leaves." He said stubbornly, making Jun's heart beat in a strange way.
"Ninomiya..."
"It's fine, I was leaving anyway. And just to be clear, you are indeed fired. We are taking our hands off you, you won't cause us any more problems." The man turned around on his heels and with a few big steps he walked out of the small cafe. Once he left Nino finally sat down again, the cafe around them slowly filling with the noises of people talking and eating. Jun lost himself in his own thoughts, being left alone by everyone around him which he was thankful for. He lost his job, he could have expected it but it still came as a shock. No more acting for him, or at least not in the near future. Maybe it was better this way, seeing the acting had ruined him in the first place. He hoped being away from it for a while would indeed help, but he didn't feel any difference yet. Did that mean he was indeed crazy? To him it felt even more like a confirmation he was just normal. He couldn't get his mind around it but he was sure of one thing. Ninomiya helped him a lot today and he was grateful for it.
"Thank you." Jun said softly, keeping his eyes on the path in front of him when they were slowly walking back to the clinic. Beside him he heard Nino's laugh.
"We crazy people support each other. You would do the same for us, right?" Jun looked at the man next to him, wondering if he really would do the same. When he met Nino's expectant look he shrugged and looked in front of him again.
"Even prince helped you. He keeps surprising me you know. Barking like that." The smaller man giggled, starting to skip next to Jun.
"You know J, I think you really belong here between us. And I'm not saying it because the sex is so great. You clearly don't belong with those people who call themselves normal, if they say things like that in your face. You are much better off here." Jun stopped walking, looking at the skipping man's back. He belonged here? Was that true? It did feel good here, no pressure from anyone outside, someone to share his evenings with. Maybe Nino was right, maybe he wasn't suited for the world of normal people. He shook his head, trying to get his mind clear again. Of course he didn't belong here, he still believed he wasn't crazy. But even thinking this way made him realize one thing: he had to get out of here soon, before he would start calling this place his home, like everyone else seemed to do.
