The cameras had gone into every Torchwood employee’s flat within days after Mary’s abrupt departure. It was the only way, Jack told himself, trying not to hear echoes of the Old Torchwood in his own mind.
The security paid off in immediate dividends when he discovered that Gwen had taken up the practice of Yoga. Observing her doing sun salutations at daybreak made him feel as though they were sharing a spiritual and physical experience. Her downward facing dog was especially moving.
Jack let out a cleansing breath, imagining the ways Gwen’s enhanced flexibility could bring them both pleasure.
