I'm with you on Rena Sofer and her character. Like the actress but not her character. I would love to see more of Rena if her character was better written.

It was great seeing Dylan Bruno on my screen again.

I figured you'd be happy to see Dylan. I just thought it was hysterical that he was being very Colby in the part.

The problem with Rena was falling into the "female character must be foil for male lead" trap. Vance pulling "Do you care about Gibbs" to make her violate client/privilege didn't sit well with me either.

I'd need to see it again, which I'm not sure I want to, but from his conversation with the guy who was staring at him in the park, it sounded like he was going to train them to take out "targets." His conversation with Parker also sounded like they were making the case for the moral good of taking out one "bad person" to save lots of good ones.

I agree on the idea that Daisy shouldn't have to give up her dream for Sweets, but the way it came across relative to the last time we saw her, was just WTF? I still find it hard to believe she's going to be able to function as part of a small group in a remote location unless she learns something resembling impulse control.

I watched this Bones ep with my parents, and when I told them your spinoff idea, they were totally on board. *g* Especially at the end of the ep when it looked like Caroline, Sweets, and Camille were the only ones left at the Jeffersonian.

I agree it felt more like a series finale, but since it isn't, I'm guessing next season they'll spend an episode (two, stretching it) showing us the trials and tribulations of the gang apart, including Camille still trying to break in a new team, and then they'll manufacture some way to bring them all back. ::shrug:: What I would really like to see is Booth still struggling morally with his training assignment, and then having delayed trauma to deal with when he returns -- because I still think that's where they were going with Zach's Iraq stint but they never got to do it, what with needing him for the ridiculous accelerated Gormogon plot.

I could totally see that spin-off and I'd work Camille into it too. Caroline leaves the FBI to start a private practice with Sweets as her side-kick, doing his analysis thing on all her clients.

Maybe the "bring them all back" mechanism would be the Gravedigger plot. She did say "It's not over" after the verdict was read. They still have to go through penalty phase, and they seem to be making her the new Howard Epps. (What is it that all the forensic shows have with making their recurring psychotic serial killers into geniuses as well?)

I don't think this show is equipped to do a real trauma story for Booth and I dread the idea of making him a woobie in the process. I think you're right about Zach. Man, there is NOTHING about that plot that they didn't botch.

Yeah, I think you're right. It's what I would *like* to see, but it's probably better if they don't go there. Not on this show. Even if they could manage to write it sensitively and without woobie-fying Booth, I'm not totally convinced Boreanaz could handle it.
